Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Halal Whale platform at halalwhale.com("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers of the Service.
2. Description of Service
Halal Whale is an informational platform that aggregates publicly available US congressional stock trade disclosures filed under the STOCK Act, screens them for Shariah compliance using third-party Islamic finance standards, and applies AI analysis to identify potential insider-trading signals. The Service is designed as a research and information tool for Muslim investors.
3. Not Financial or Religious Advice
Halal Whale does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or religious (fatwa) rulings.
- Signal labels (Strong, Notable, Routine) describe observable data — committee roles, trade size, timing — and are not buy or sell recommendations. Never make investment decisions based solely on information from this Service.
- Shariah compliance screening is automated using third-party standards and is not a fatwa or scholarly religious ruling. Whether acting on this information aligns with your personal understanding of Islamic law is a personal or scholarly question. We recommend consulting a qualified Islamic finance scholar.
- Past performance of congressional trading strategies does not guarantee future results. All investing carries risk, including the possible loss of principal.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
5. Accounts & Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@halalwhale.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Subscription & Billing
Access to the Service requires a paid subscription after the free trial period. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel.
- The 7-day free trial requires no credit card and carries no obligation
- Subscription fees are billed in advance at the start of each billing period
- You may cancel at any time via Settings → Manage Subscription
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time except as described in our Refund Policy
- We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice

All content, branding, AI-generated analyses, and software comprising the Service are the property of Halal Whale or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Congressional trade disclosure data is sourced from public government records. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the Service for your personal, non-commercial use only.
9. Data Accuracy & Disclaimer
Congressional trade data is sourced from public disclosures filed under the STOCK Act and third-party data providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. STOCK Act disclosures may include trades by a member's spouse or dependent children — these cannot be distinguished from the member's personal trades. Shariah screening is automated and subject to the limitations of third-party screening methodologies.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Halal Whale and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including any investment losses resulting from reliance on information provided by the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
11. Indemnification
